Eric Bailly makes Manchester United transfer decision after season-ending injury

Eric Bailly is looking forward to beginning his recovery from the injury. Manchester United have confirmed Bailly has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with medial ligament damage in his right knee. Bailly was recalled for his first appearance since March 6 in the Premier League draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford but required lengthy treatment following a 68th-minute challenge and was replaced by Marcos Rojo. "I would like to thank everyone for the messages of love and support I have received," the Ivorian wrote alongside a picture of himself in a leg brace with his thumbs up. "It's tough, but one must accept that some injuries are unavoidable. It's true that this season hasn't smiled down upon me very much, but I will return soon and with more strength next season, God willing." Arsenal boss Unai Emery is reportedly a big fan of the former Valencia man. Bailly’s representatives have sought talks over his future in recent weeks but he is hopeful that he will be given the chance to impress boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. He has made 74 appearances for United since joining in a £30m deal from Villarreal in 2016 and is contracted to the club until 2020.
