Fabrizio Romano has expressed confidence that Martin Odegaard is likely to commit to a fresh contract with Arsenal.
The Gunners' captain has played a major role in their undefeated beginning to the Premier League season, which includes him scoring in their recent victory against Manchester United just before the international break.
However, the speculations surrounding the extension of the former Real Madrid player's contract with the Noth Londoners have been gaining considerable attention.
In a recent Twitter post, the Italian transfer expert indicated that Mikel Arteta is 'optimistic' and is actively pursuing a new agreement with his star player.
Furthermore, during the international break with the Norwegian national team, the 24-year-old dropped a very interesting hint about his future and his contract status with Arsenal.
"I don't have much to say, apart from the fact that I am very happy at Arsenal and I hope I can be there for a long time. Beyond that, I have no comment right now. Now, it is the national team that is in focus," said Odegaard.
