West Ham and Everton in a transfer clash for 22-year-old winger

West Ham United and Everton are on the verge of engaging in a transfer clash for Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest.

As per The Mail, the two rivaling clubs are greatly interested in the 22-year old winger after his impressive season in the club that avoided relegation with a small margin.

During Sean Dyche's inaugural summer as manager, Everton is eager to strengthen their squad and has identified Johnson as a prospective new signing. Additionally, West Ham is aiming to attract the talented 22-year-old Welsh player to the London Stadium in the upcoming transfer window, impressed by his noteworthy performance in his first season in the Premier League.

Currently, Forest value Johnson at around £40 million and are not keen to sell their key player. The Wales international has scored eight goals across all competitions in 44 appearances for the club. Johnson's performance was highly valued in the Premier League fixtures and Carabao Cup.
