Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted that the club are not close to a new signing during the winter transfer window.
"I cannot give you any special name, but will we recruit somebody? It's possible, we will try, but at the moment we are not close to singing anybody," the manager told his press conference.
While asked to comment on the rumours about striker Olivier Giroud being included in the deal for Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the French specialist was quick to deny any talks around the matter.
Let's recall that Arsenal and Manchester United have exchanged players earlier this winter transfer window, as they exchanged former Arsenal striker Alexis Sanchez with former Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
