Tottenham duo Eric Dier and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg have expressed their wish to stay at the club despite the latest transfer decision to put them up for sale for the summer transfer window.
According to journalist Paul Brown(via GIVEMESPORT), both players are determined to prove themselves and have clear objectives for the future. Despite being made available for transfers, they are eager to impress the club's newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou during the pre-season.
The sale of Dier and Hojbjerg would create significant gaps for Postecoglou to fill in his first transfer window, but both players understand that they need to perform well during pre-season to secure their places in the team.
Dier has reportedly had discussions about a contract extension, although talks stalled due to a dip in form and an injury that required surgery. Despite these challenges, the player started in the majority of Premier League matches last season, while Hojbjerg featured in every league game.
