Tottenham dealt transfer blow as £52m price tag forces Jose Mourinho to change plans

Tottenham wanted to sign West Ham star Issa Diop, however, they changed their plans, due to the £52million price-tag the Hammers have set. Toby Alderweireld signed a new contract with the club after Mourinho took charge at Tottenham, but Jan Vertonghen remains set to leave. Tottenham had therefore earmarked West Ham defender Diop as a potential target. However, according to Football Insider, the Hammers are not willing to let the Frenchman leave for anything less than £52m. But Tottenham are unlikely to spend big in the summer transfer window due to the coronavirus pandemic. Source: Express
