Frank Lampard is nearing to an end of his first season as Chelsea boss. The specialist enjoyed a good season; however, the lack of new additions caused some problems for the former England international.
In the summer, Chelsea did not sign any players due to the transfer ban handed by FIFA. However, ahead of the January transfer window, CAS reduced transfer ban.
Lampard reportedly handed £150m to spend, but the Blues again ended transfer window without new additions.
Now, they are expecting to have the same amount of money for new signings during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Timo Werner
RB Leipzig star Werner has been on the radar of several clubs. According to reports, Werner has a £51m release clause in his contract. The player has previously stated his interest in the Premier League but favours a move to Liverpool.

Chelsea made several bids for Lyon star Moussa Dembele, but the French club was determined not to sell the 23-year-old. Dembele could cost upwards of £60m. Chelsea could be interested in the player in the summer transfer window too.

Jadon Sancho
Chelsea have been linked with Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho, however, the player remained at the club, despite strong interest from other clubs. Dortmund have placed a £100m-plus price tag on the winger.

Richarlison
Everton star Richarlison has been linked with the Blues during Maurizio Sarri’s reign as manager. The Toffees reportedly rejected an £85m offer from Barcelona. Carlo Ancelotti has insisted the club will resist any approaches for their star man in the summer.

Wilfried Zaha
Zaha wants to leave Crystal Palace and have been linked with Arsenal and Everton, however, the club turned down bids. Zaha’s contract runs until 2023 but the player is likely to want away again in the summer.

Ben Chilwell
Chilwell has enjoyed an impressive season under Brendan Rodgers and has accreted interest from Chelsea. Chilwell could offer Lampard a permanent solution but would likely cost upwards of £50m.

Nathan Ake
Chelsea considered activating a contract clause for Ake, whom they sold to AFC Bournemouth in 2017, which would allow them to sign Ake for £40m. But the option has now expired and Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in the Dutch centre-back.

Ben White
White, who is a Brighton player, currently on loan at Leeds United. Chelsea are among a number of Premier League clubs to have sent scouts to watch him in action. White’s boss Graham Potter is adamant the 22-year-old is part of his long-term plans. But White could leave if the Seagulls were to suffer relegation.

Issa Diop
Chelsea were linked with West Ham defender in January but no bid for the player materialized. The Blues will consider making a move for the £40m player in the summer. David Moyes could be forced to sell him should his side suffer relegation.

One of the main positions Lampard would look to improve is a position of goalkeeper. The most expensive goalkeeper in the world, Kepa Arrizabalaga have the worst save percentage in the Premier League. The Blues may look Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope as a replacement for Arrizabalaga.

Udinese star Juan Musso is another possible replacement for Kepa. The 25-year-old has kept seven clean sheets in 22 appearances in Serie A this season.

Bournemouth star Rico boasts impressive stats. The player may be a cheaper option than Leicester’s Chilwell and would allow Lampard to use more of his funds in other areas.

Another alternative for Leicester’s Ben Chilwell could be Wigan Athletic’s Robinson. According to the Mirror, Chelsea have been in contact with Wigan Athletic.
