Following a difficult campaign and another difficult one that has kick-started this season, Manchester United are not in the best mood on and off the pitch.
Ben Jacobs, writing in his CaughtOffSide column, has pointed out the three Manchester United players who are trying to improve the "tense mood" in the Red Devil's dressing room. Specific players, like Jadon Sancho, are believed to contribute to this uneasiness at Old Trafford.
“But there are also leaders, like Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans and Scott McTominay who are positive influences off the field and doing all they can to improve the mood and keep everyone united,” adds Jacobs optimistically.
Positivity and optimism are things that Erik ten Hag's men will need to make use of to get out of the loop of unluckiness. Despite the club's struggles, the Reds' hierarchy retain their trust for the Dutch head coach.
Currently Manchester United are the 8th in the Premier League table. Ten Hag's side suffered a painful 0-3 defeat at home at the Manchester Derby against Pep Guardiola's top selection.
