Three candidates to become Leeds United manager

Leeds United had a difficult 2022/23 season as they were relegated to Championship following the conclusion of the Premier League campaign.

The Whites changed four managers during this season with the last one being Sam Allardyce. Leeds departed ways with Allardyce on June 2, 2023.

As the search for a new manager continues, here is three candidates that are currently available and could become the Whites' next manager.

Three candidates to become Leeds United manager

Rafael Benitez

Rafa Benitez's last club was Everton where he spent the 2021/22 season. The 63-year-old has a rich managerial career as he has been a coach at Real Madrid, Valladolid, Osasuna as well as Inter Milan, Napoli, Newcastle United. The manager is currently available and could be a good candidate to take over Leeds with his rich career he could make the Whites to get a Premier League promotion once again.

Ruben Selles

Unlike Benitez, Selles doesn't have a rich managerial career, however, he has an experience at Premier League. The 39-year-old has been a coach at Southampton and after departing on May 28, 2023 he is currently available.

Steven Gerrard

Steven Gerrard is maybe the most suitable candidate. He coached Rangers and won the Premiership with them and then took over Aston Villa and coached Villa in the 2021/22 season. Gerrard currently doesn't have any clubs to coach and might take on the Whites and challenge for promotion.
