Paul Merson has given his prediction for the upcoming clash between Manchester City and Tottenham.
The Citizens are currently sitting in 2nd place in the Premier League table with a record of nine wins, two draws, and two defeats. Spurs, meanwhile, are 5th on the list after eight wins, two draws and three losses.
The two sides will be looking to have a successful match when they face off against each other in the domestic top tier on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
Ahead of the game, Merson has shared his thoughts, backing Pep Guardiola's side to be the winners in this showdown with a score of 4 - 0.
"With the number of injuries Tottenham have got, there’s no way they’re beating City. I’d be worried going into this game if I were a Spurs fan. They might cause City a few problems on the break but if they leave themselves open like they did last weekend, they will be in trouble," he said on Sportskeeda.
"I think if Tottenham were up to full strength, this would be game on. Spurs’ problem is that most of their sidelined stars are starters. That’s very unfortunate. I think Ange Postecoglou is going to stick to his principles and that’s going to cost him and his side dearly against City."
