Study show how Mo Salah helped reduce anti-Muslim hate crimes in Liverpool

Latest research show that Mo Salah helped Liverpool not only to win the Champions League but to reduce Islapophobia in Merseyside due to love of supporters towards him. The Liverpool forward, 26, scored the Reds' opening Champions League final goal in Madrid on Saturday as his side won the trophy for the sixth time. According to a paper from the Immigration Policy Lab (IPL) there was an 18.9 per cent drop in hate crimes in the Merseyside area. They claim that "positive exposure" to unfamiliar groups from role modes can "reveal new information that humanises the outgroup." Put simply, Salah has given Muslims the perfect exposure through being a positive, goalscoring and humble star. The Egyptian has also been included on the Time 100 list and attended a mid-season awards bash. John Oliver described him as "a better human being than he is a football player", adding: "And he's one of the best football players in the world."
