Sports journalist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Tottenham's plans for signing a new striker this summer.
Speaking in his The Here We Go Podcast, the Italian transfer insider has claimed that Spurs will only consider signing a new striker if a suitable opportunity arises.
Although Ange Postecoglou's side could benefit from acquiring a new center-forward after the transfer of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, the sports journalist has emphasized that the club won't make a signing just for the sake of it.
“Speaking to my sources, they will only go for a new striker if they find a good opportunity," Romano said, as quoted by HITC.
"They don’t want to overpay. They don’t want to sign a striker just because they have to find a striker," he added.
