Report: Manchester United and Chelsea in battle for Leeds United star

Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly in the battle to sign Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier.

The Frenchman is currently among the youngest and most promising regular starting goalkeepers in the Premier League. 

Following his current solid form, it is not surprising that top-level teams could grow an interest in the 22-year-old.

According to French outlet Media Foot, both United and the North Londoners are considering singing the Whites' star.

Erik ten Hag is seriously in search of a first-choice goalkeeper as their number one, David De Gea is out of contract at the end of the season.

Therefore, getting Meslier's signature would be a massive boost for the Red Devils as they could secure their number-one spot for the next years.
