"Really pleased": Patrick Vieira urges Gareth Southgate to give the Crystal Palace trio chance

Patrick Vieira has heaped praise on Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell and Conor Gallagher and urged Gareth Southgate to give them a call-up. The Crystal Palace trio are ell expected to start against Manchester City on Monday, which will give the England boss a one last chance to look at them before international break. Vieira expressed his big admiration for his players as he stated that they improved a lot. Speaking in his Thursday’s press conference, the Eagles' boss claimed.

“They’ve been playing well enough for Crystal Palace and I’ve been really pleased with those performances,” Vieira said.   “I think all the players that you mentioned are playing with a lot of confidence and with belief in themselves.   “They’re doing really well and now it’s for the (England) manager who will have to make those kinds of decisions but I think it’s really interesting for them when you mention their names.   “I think when they have their names on the table, I think that means those players are moving forward and this is really interesting.”  

Chelsea loanee Gallagher made his international debut in November. Centre-back Guehi is the captain of England U21s while Mitchell’s impressive form at left-back will interest Southgate, who is without Ben Chilwell due to a knee injury.   Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
