Liverpool are set to take on Burnley this Saturday in what appears to be a match where the Reds should secure a comfortable victory.
While acknowledging Burnley's resilience, it's evident that the Reds hold a significant advantage in terms of quality and performance. This fixture presents an ideal opportunity for the Merseysiders to bounce back from their recent defeat to Arsenal and regain momentum.
However, Jurgen Klopp faces some selection challenges heading into the game. Thiago Alcantara remains sidelined due to injury, Joel Matip is still recovering, and Ibrahima Konate is ineligible following his red card suspension.
Clinton Morrison, speaking on Premier League Productions, discussed how the Premier League leaders might adapt without the Frenchman. He suggested that Joe Gomez could transition to the center-back position to compensate for the 24-year-old absence, while Andy Robertson could return to the starting lineup.
“Do you know what I think he might go with Gomez at centre-back, he can play young Quansah, but if he uses Gomez there it could allow him to use Robertson from the start. He’s been brilliant, they trust him now, he had a sticky patch last season but I think he’s been outstanding,” the pundit stated.
