PSG's Qatari owners planned to send Mbappe to a specific Premier League club

Upon announcing his desire to leave PSG after his contract expires with the club, the French superstar Kylian Mbappe was informed that the club has decided his next destination to be Old Trafford, as per French outlet El Pais.

The French giants' Qatari owners decided that the 24-year-old would join Manchester United next season if he didn't object to the idea. The second condition was that Sheikh Jassim became the owner of the Premier League club. Given the relevancy of the talk, Mbappe has not objected to the idea yet, and recent reports suggest that Sheikh Jassim is in the more favorable position to become the new owner of the Red Devils.

According to reports from Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has emerged as the winner in the battle to buy Manchester United. The bid by Sheikh Jassim, worth around £5 billion, is said to be for complete ownership of the club. His rival, British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, had offered to acquire around 60 percent of the club through his company Ineos. The Sheikh's chances were boosted when an improved offer was submitted last week.

And last but not least, it is important to note that the piece by El Pais indicates that Mbappe has not commented on the assumed decision regarding his future.
