Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has delivered a strong statement ahead of the Carabao Cup match against Bournemouth this evening.
It seems that Szoboszlai may be in line for some rest, as Jurgen Klopp is expected to field a second-choice lineup against Bournemouth.
However, based on his comments in an interview with the Hungarian outlet Sportal, it appears that the 23-year-old is eager for playing time.
When asked about the possibility of facing his Hungary national team colleague and Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, Szoboszlai has conveyed a clear message to the 19-year-old.
“I want him to pray that I don’t play,” says he Reds star said, via Rousing The Kop.
Liverpool will face off against the Cherries in the Carabao Cup Round of 16 at Vitality Stadium on Wednesday evening.
