Pep Guardiola reveals who will play for Manchester City against Wycombe in EFL Cup

Pep Guardiola has revealed that a few Manchester City youngsters will play against Wycombe in the EFL Cup on Tuesday. Cityzens have quite an injury crisis with Aymeric Laporte, John Stones, Rodri, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Ilkay Gundogan all sidelined through injuries. And the City boss has confirmed that he will play a few academy players beacuse of these injuries.

“I don’t have any alternatives, we are going to play a few young players, some first team players, but some will rest for the games we have ahead of us,” said Guardiola.   “A few players from the academy are going to play because we have John, Aymeric, Rodri, Oleksandr, I think Gündogan, all of them are injured."
