Pep Guardiola has provided an update on Kevin de Bruyne ahead of Manchester City's Super Cup game against Sevilla.
City face Sevilla in the final on Wednesday, August 14, 2023 and De Bruyne isn't in the squad.
The midfielder suffered a hamstring injury during City's opening game against Burnley. Pep Guardiola's side celebrated a 3-0 win over the newly promoted team.
Speaking during press conference ahead of the game, Guardiola said: "Good afternoon. It's a serious injury. We have to decide his surgery. Will be a few months out. We will decide in the next days. Surgery is surgery, three or four months out.
When asked about signing a replacement for De Bruyne, Guardiola added: "We will see. We'll talk with Txiki and the chances and possibilities."
