Pep Guardiola has given an update on how to cover Kevin De Bruyne's absence.
De Bruyne suffered a hamstring injury during City's league season opener against Burnley last week and may be out for the next fourth months as City need to decide whether the midfielder needs surgery.
Guardiola's side became UEFA Super Cup winners on Wednesday and prepare to face Newcastle on Saturday, August 19, 2023.
"Last season when Gundo stayed, Kevin got injured or we just had to make adjustment because people know you and people have to find the solutions for something you have done," Guardiola said during a press conference.
"I’m pretty sure you have to do something differently. Right now, I don’t know."
