Pep Guardiola aims dig on Manchester United's trophy-less seasons

Ppe Guardiola has admitted that it is surprising to witness Manchester United not winning the Premier League for eight seasons. Manchester City with the management of Guardiola have been a huge success, winning already two Premier League titles. Now the Cityzens look to conquer yet another trophy of the English top flight for the second year in a row. City are now leading the standings with 60 points, being 9 points ahead that second-placed Liverpool. Speaking ahead of his side's visit to Carrow Road to face Norwich on Saturday, Guardiola admitted that it has been surprising that United are looking set to miss out on Premier League glory for the ninth season running.

"A long time ago, (Manchester) United controlled this league (Premier League) like no other team," the Catalan said, as quoted by Simon Bajkowski of Manchester Evening News.   "Could you imagine in that time they (Manchester United) would go eight seasons without winning the Premier League? Could someone in this country think about that? But it has happened."
