Shaka Hislop has criticized Kai Havertz after his display in Arsenal's victory over Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the season.
Hislop expressed his disappointment in the Germany international's performance, stating that he couldn't recall any noteworthy contributions from the forward during the match at the Emirates.
Speaking on ESPN, Hislop commented on Havertz's Premier League debut for Arsenal, which came as they started the league season with a win. Despite showing promising moments in the Community Shield, Havertz played more in a midfield role against the league rivals and failed to leave a significant impact on the game.
“As anticipated, I’m really not sure what Kai Havertz offers Arsenal in all honesty,” Hislop told ESPN.
“And he stuck with him for the entire game. I can’t think of a single thing that Kai Havertz did of note, never mind making Arsenal better, nothing you can talk about," he added.
