Paul Merson has criticised Mikel Arteta for his decision to play Bukayo Saka against Lens ahead of the Premier League game against Manchester City.
Bukayo Saka a crucial player for Arsenal might miss the upcoming match against City at the Emirates Stadium due to a muscular injury he sustained during the UEFA Champions League game against Lens earlier this week.
The 22-year-old English winger had to leave the match prematurely, and former Arsenal player and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has expressed his dissatisfaction with manager Mikel Arteta for including Saka in the lineup against Lens.
“I didn’t expect Arsenal to beat Lens this week, and I’m not sure why Arteta chose to play Bukayo Saka," the pundit said on Sportskeeda.
“He’s got a big game coming up against Manchester City, and his decision could come back to bite them.”
