Manchester United center-back Raphael Varane is reportedly going to be out for six weeks due to the injury sustained against Nottingham Forest last week.
The France international was substituted during the halftime of the victory against Nottingham Forest. However, Erik ten Hag's remarks following the game implied that the decision was taken as a preventive measure.
“He had complaints, we didn’t want to risk him,” said Ten Hag during a post-match interview.
“We know we have Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, good replacements. So we don’t take the risk, but what the complaint is and if it is really bad, we don’t know. We have to wait,” added the Dutch manager via Evening Standard.
It is seen that this misfortune has also affected Harry Maguire's role in the Red Devils' squad. The England international has reportedly been moved out of United's list of players for sale.
