Barcelona legend Eric Abidal explains why Malcom fits Barcelona
Barcelona director of football Eric Abidal has explained why Malcom deal was good for Barcelona.
Catalan club paid €41 m for Brazilian young star to Bordeaux. Malcom appeared during International Champions Cup match against Tottenham and scored winning penalty during the shootout.
21-year-old winger started his professional career at 17 in Corinthians. He then moved to Bordeaux and scored 23 goals in 96 matches.
“We saw immediately that he had the Barcelona profile,” Abidal told reporters (via Football Espana)
“He is a left-footed player who is able to operate on both wings, whilst he can also play as an attacking midfielder. He has a big future ahead of him.”
