Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Leandro Trossard, referring to him as a "tremendous" player and an excellent fit for the Gunners.
Arteta shared his positive sentiments about Trossard during a media briefing ahead of Arsenal's upcoming Champions League clash with Lens.
Since joining from Brighton for a reported £27 million in January, the 28-year-old has proven to be a valuable addition to Arsenal, featuring in 37 games with seven goals and 12 assists. In the current season, the player has made 15 appearances, delivering an impressive performance with six goals and two assists.
When asked about Trossard's value, Arteta acknowledged him as one of the club's best signings.
“I’m not a financial advisor or the economist of the club. But he is a tremendous player who has great talent and great intelligence to play the way we want to play. He is a really good fit for us," he said, as transcribed by football.london, via TBR Football.
Being asked about Trossard’s versatility, Arsenal boss added: “That was one of the main reasons why we signed him. First of all he has experience of the league and did what he had done in the league already.
"In January we had a lot of issues in the front line and he could cover those necessities in a really efficient way. He has proven he can do that.”
