Mikel Arteta has addressed the rumours liking him with a managerial job at Barcelona following Xavi's announcement on Saturday.
Barca faced Villarreal on Saturday and suffered a 3-5 defeat following which Xavi announced that he will leave the club at the of the season.
After the announcement, many names emerged as possible candidates to replace him at Barca and one of the names was Arteta.
However, speaking ahead of Arsenal's clash with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, Arteta said: "No. That’s totally fake news. What I read yesterday I don’t know where it’s coming from. I’m really upset about it.
"I could not believe it. I don’t know where it’s coming from. I think we have to be very careful when you talk about personal things especially. I’m in the right place."
