Massimiliano Allegri has explained why Liverpool are so good following their victory over Inter Milan on Wednesday.
The Reds beat the rivals 2 - 0 in the first leg of the Champions League last 16, with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah scoring the winning goals for their side.
Allegri believes that Jurgen Klopp's side's greater experience helped them to have a successful match in the midweek.
“We must congratulate Inter for how they played,” Juventus' head coach told
Tuttomercatoweb.
“They faced a team that was better at managing the match in the Champions League and with more experience.”
He added:
“The Champions League has changed a bit,” says Allegri, who tasted defeat in the 2017 final against Real Madrid.
“Also with the fact that the away goal is no longer worth double. Anything can happen in European matches.
“But PSG, Bayern Munich, the English (Liverpool and Manchester City) and Real Madrid are the favourites.”
