Manuel Pellegrini set to haunt West Ham with bid for brilliant 27-year-old

Manuel Pellegrini, in charge of Real Betis, is reportedly eyeing a reunion with one of his former players.

The former West Ham United manager is keen on making a bid for Pablo Fornals, who is considered one of the Hammers' brightest talents.

While Fornals has not openly expressed his desire for a transfer, the midfielder's limited playing time and being sometimes played out of position under David Moyes might make a return to La Liga appealing to him.

According to Relevo (h/t Caught Offside), Betis' pursuit of the 27-year-old won't be an easy task, but they are determined to secure his services.

For West Ham, losing their ace could provide some financial flexibility in the transfer market if they secure a reasonable fee and offload his wages.

However, they will need to act swiftly to reinforce their squad and avoid potential setbacks in their plans for the upcoming season.
