Manchester United ready to sell £52m midfielder after Mason Mount agreement

Manchester United are preparing to offload midfielder Fred after securing an agreement to sign Chelsea's Mason Mount, according to MEN, via Man Utd News.

The Red Devils recently concluded negotiations for Mount, with a transfer fee of £55 million plus £5 million in add-ons. With the player's imminent arrival, the Red Devils are now focused on selling a midfielder, and Fred is reportedly the most likely candidate to be sold during this summer transfer window.

While there have been previous rumors linking Scott McTominay with a potential transfer, it is unlikely as he is the youngest senior midfielder in the first-team squad.

Donny van de Beek and Hannibal Mejbri are also mentioned as potential players who could be sold, but there is currently no concrete interest in acquiring them.

Fred, who was signed by United for £52 million in 2018, has attracted attention from Fulham since May as a possible destination for him.
