Manchester United intend to extend Ashley Young’s contract

Manchester United have triggered an option to extend Ashley Young’s contract by one year. Young joined United in 2011 for a deal worth in the region of £18m and has gone on to play 193 games for the Red Devils. The 32-year-old's contract was due to expire this summer but United have confirmed they have activated a clause to extend the contract by 12 months.
