Liverpool faced Newcastle in the Premier League and celebrated a 2-1 win. The Reds were 1-0 down before Darwin Nunez formed a double and helped them to secure the win.
However, a few minutes after the Magpies goal, Virgil van Dijk was sent off for a challenge on Alexander Isak which denied him a goalscoring chance.
The Reds will be without Van Dijk for their next game as a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity warrants a one-match ban. However, he could be given more than one-match ban.
Let's take a look at Liverpool's upcoming three games, if Van Dijk recieves more than a one match ban.
- Aston Villa (H)
- Wolves (A)
- West Ham (H)
