Reports suggest that Liverpool are leading the race to secure Alonso's services, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona also expressing interest in him.
Liverpool reportedly made the initial move to pursue Alonso, while Real Madrid, another potential contender, are unlikely to pursue him due to their loyalty to Carlo Ancelotti. This could pave the way for the Premier League side to secure Alonso without much competition.
