Kyle Walker has undergone surgery after picking up a groin injury earlier this month.
The England international was subbed off during the Manchester Derby, where his side took a massive 6-3 victory over Erik ten Hag on October 2.
The 32-year-old played both of England's games during September’s international duty and is a huge part of Gareth Southgate’s plans.
However, according to several reports, the defender might be fit enough to make it into Southgate's 26-man squad for the World Cup in Qatar next month.
Meanwhile, Walker himself is fully 'confident' that he will be able to be fully recovered before of the most important football competition kicks off.
Speaking via BBC Radio 5 Live (quoted by City Xtra), the right-back confessed what he has told to his surgeon before getting 'under the knife'.
"A little manic. I went on Monday and said to the surgeon: 'Listen mate, you're going to have to do it, I have a World Cup'.
"He wanted to do it on Thursday but said I'll meet you in an hour. That was it, I was under the knife."
