Klopp speaks out on Fabinho role and Solskjaer's future ahead of Manchester United clash: Press Conference

Liverpool prepare to face Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday. The Reds are aiming to move back to the top of the Premier League, with title rivals Manchester City facing Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final. Ahead of the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has faced the press. Klopp on his FA charge For sure comments are pretty expensive! Klopp on learning from fines It is my second time with a FA fine. In Germany it was much more often, I was younger and I learn. Altogether it’s not that much money wise. That’s how it is. I will learn, no problem. Klopp on Fabinho at centre back For sure his best position is midfield. Klopp on Fabinho's versatility It’s brilliant to have him as an option for both positions. He is an unbelievably valuable player for us. He helps us a lot. We will use him most of the time in the midfield. We knew last year we would lose Emre Can, who was a similar profile. We did not think we would have to use Fabinho as a centre-half but he has done brilliantly. But obviously, we will use him as a midfielder. Klopp on Mourinho Jose Mourinho is an outstanding manager but they had a difficult time and it looks like they found a solution. It’s a big difference of course. Klopp on United It’s a big one. They are in a good moment, physically strong, defend and attack well. Full of confidence. We will try everything to get a result there. They’re full of confidence, that’s clear. We will go there as good as possible prepared. You never know. It’s open until the final whistle. We try and use that time. Klopp on Bayern, United and Everton With Bayern, it’s nothing personal. They want to be successful. I think United are the same. If they think it’s a little plus to take three points I don’t know. We look forward to playing there. It’s a good atmosphere and very exciting. Everton, after Watford, they have their own situation. I don’t think they think about our title chances. They have their own situation. Klopp on the history of the game It’s always been a big game, it will always be a big game. If it makes the difference that not getting 3 points stops us from being champions I don’t know. It’s not personal. I cannot go into the dressing room and tell the players about the history of the game. We cannot make the game bigger because of the moment. Klopp on pressing teams You saw the Chelsea United game. It was so unbelievable, both teams pressing in all departments. It’s pretty likely it’ll be like this again. We have to be lively and we will be. Klopp on van Dijk We didn’t miss him as much as some expected. We defended so well as a unit. It’s very good to have Virgil back. First time in many weeks that we have a decision to make in terms of selection. Klopp on Lingard and Martial Whichever line-up United have they will be quick. You have to concentrate 100% Klopp gives team news Lovren and Gomez out, all the rest in training. Brewster in little parts of training, Ox in bigger parts but still not ready. Usually, around this time, I get a message to say that someone is ill! Klopp on Solskjaer It must be one of the best records ever, mustn’t it? I’m really happy for him. It’s not the best news for us but for all Manchester United fans its brilliant. They’ve brought in all the things Sir Alex Ferguson stood for with all the new things in football. That makes them a threat again. They are really back on track. Good for them. We all needed luck in our managerial careers. When I went from Mainz to Dortmund people said I had no international experience. It was true. Normally you would not make a move from Norway to Manchester United. That is clear. But he’s shown his qualities. He has the quality and luck in the right moment. Now he’s in charge and there is no doubt he will be the manager next year as well. That is clear. Can you imagine if they brought in a new manager? He deserves that 100%.
