Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to increase their transfer budget to £20m per player following Ruben Neves' sale.
According to journalist Ryan Taylor via GIVEMESPORT, Wolves had initially been cautious with their spending, but the anticipated departure of the Portugal international has altered their approach.
The 26-year-old is on the verge of joining Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in a deal worth around £47 million. The sale of the midfielder will provide a significant financial boost to the Midland outfit, which recorded a loss of £46.1 million in the financial year ending May 2022.
One of Julen Lopetegui's targets this summer is Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres. Sky Sports has indicated that the Wanderers are among the leading contenders to secure the signature of the Swedish forward.
Despite Gyokeres having just one year remaining on his contract, Coventry still values him at around £20m.
