Jose Enrique has raved about Gabriel Magalhaes, claiming Arsenal star is the best centre-back in the Premier League right now.
Since making a move to the Emirates Stadium, the Brazil international has established himself as a key player in Mikel Arteta's squad. According to the latest stats, Gabriel has made more last-man tackles than any other player in Europe's top five leagues.
Despite his contribution to the team, Enrique believes the Gunners' defender doesn't get the credit he deserves.
“Gabriel Magalhaes from Arsenal [is the most underrated player in the Premier League]," he wrote on Twitter.
"Everyone [is] talking about [William] Saliba because he is younger etc. but Gabriel has been the best center-back in the league and he [is] still 25. But it is true that there are many options out there like [Kaoru] Mitoma, James Ward[-Prowse] [Gabriel] Martinelli and many more.”
