Jesse Lingard breaks silence on Nottingham Forest future ahead of January transfer window

Jesse Lingard has spoken out on his future at Nottingham Forest after signing for the club during the summer transfer window. Lingard joined Forest on a free transfer in summer and signed a one-year contract.

He has made 14 appearances for Nottingham in which he has scored just one goal and provided one assist.

Nottingham Forest return to competitive football on Wednesday, December 21 with an EFL Cup round of 16 game against Blackburn Rovers.

“I just want to help Forest this season," Lingard told The Athletic.

"I don’t know what the future will hold. But I am enjoying it here. I always have a smile on my face in training and going into games. Happiness is key for me. That is always the most important thing.”
