Jamie Redknapp thinks Jose Mourinho has been mistaken in his team selection choice during Tottenham Hotspur's 2 - 0 loss to Chelsea.
The Spurs faced a terrible evening, being defeated by Chelsea as Willian scored twice. Now the club is sitting on the 7th place of the Premier League table.
The Sky Sports pundit hailed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard for a three-at-the-back system he used against Mourinho's squad, however, criticizing the Spurs manager for playing Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko in midfield.
He told the
Daily Mail: "Frank selected a system that Tottenham could not handle, and that’s that. When I saw Mourinho’s XI, what stood out to me was the midfield. Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko started together and I did not think that would be enough to get control of the game. Mourinho had good players in Harry Winks and Tanguy Ndombele sitting on the bench. The Portuguese tried to fix it at half time, bringing on Christian Eriksen for Dier. But Chelsea imposed their game on Tottenham throughout."
Tottenham will face their next Premier League rivals, Brighton, on Thursday.
