"It hits me pretty hard":Odegaard admits his bad habit as he reflects on past season

As Martin Odegaard is back in Norway to participate in trainings ahead of Euro 2024 qualifiers, he admits that it "still stings" to watch the fierce celebrations of his teammate in the Norwegian squad, Erling Haaland.

After maintaining their spot as the Premier League leaders for 248-days-straight, Arsenal had their title dreams crushed losing their place to Manchester City. Yet, the season was among the best ones for the Gunners in recent years as they finished second in the league and will participate in the Champions League tournament next season.

"Even though we delivered a very good season for a long time, I am left with a sour feeling, said the Arsenal captain in an interview with a Norwegian TV broadcaster. Odeegard added that he is trying not to follow much of Manchester City's celebrations.

The 24-year-old reveals his bad habit as not celebrating the good things in life as much as trying to cope for the bad ones. "I'm not a guy who takes off the most when things are going well. But when things go badly, I may be a little longer in that period than in the good ones," explained the skilled midfielder.

Despite Arsenal's late decline, Odegaard established himself as one of the top goalscorers in the Premier League 2022/23, with a tally of 15 goals scored for the Emirates club.
