"I said sorry to him": Chelsea player admits he apologised to Mauricio Pochettino after accident on Saturday

Cole Palmer has admitted he has apologized to Chelsea's head coach Mauricio Pochettino due to an incident on the sidelines during the 2-2 draw against Arsenal on Saturday.

Chelsea had to settle for a single point in a home match against the Gunners in the Premier League over the weekend.

The 21-year-old Cole Palmer's performance stood out and received praise from critics.

The Chelsea attacker has now clarified that he expressed his regrets to his manager. Palmer shared that he unintentionally launched a drink bottle that struck Mauricio Pochettino when Arsenal scored their equalizing goal over the weekend.

“When they scored their second goal I was getting a drink," he said on Chelsea’s official website

"I went to throw the bottle away, as you do, but didn’t look. I just saw it loop dead slow and hit the gaffer. I said sorry to him and apologised properly after the game. Hopefully he won’t drop me for that!"
