Highbury legend Kevin Campbell believes that Rob Holding should consider leaving Arsenal during the summer transfer window.
Despite joining the club in 2016, Holding has been unable to establish himself as a consistent first-choice center-back throughout his time at the Emirates Stadium.
Campbell suggests that the defender's lack of regular playing time under different managers like Arsene Wenger, Unai Emery, and Mikel Arteta indicates that it might be time for him to seek opportunities elsewhere.
With William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes being Arsenal's preferred center-back pairing and Holding serving as a backup option alongside Jakub Kiwior, the pundit believes that Holding's position should be upgraded as the Gunners look to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window.
“I think Rob Holding, his time is up,” he said on Highbury Squad, via HITC.
“It’s going to be no surprise to us (if Holding leaves). But that’s a spot that has to be upgraded anyway.”
