Andy Townsend has expressed his strong belief that Pep Guardiola is the greatest coach in the history of football.
The Citizens' boss has previously gained fame by his successful managerial spells at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Guardiola's latest achievement came with the Sky Blues as they won a Trelbe, featuring the Premier League and the Champions League titles as well as the FA Cup. During a talkSPORT discussion (via Manchester City News), Townsend praised the achievements of Guardiola, saying:
“He’s the best coach I’ve ever seen. The best coach! Now I say coach because people always come on and we always talk about Sir Alex [Ferguson] and other great managers. Different eras, different type of thing.”
The pundit believes that Guardiola has almost created a complete style on his own that makes him the greatest manager.
