Pep Guardiola had high praise for Julian Alvarez, who delivered an exceptional performance for Manchester City in their 3-1 victory against Red Star Belgrade.
The Citizens' manager was thoroughly impressed with Alvarez's performance, which was described as "unbelievable" by Rodri, who lauded his heroics on Tuesday.
The Argentine player was virtually unstoppable during the game. Although his second goal was somewhat fortuitous due to a goalkeeper error, Alvarez's first goal showcased his skills, as he adeptly took the ball on the half-turn and executed a precise finish.
Guardiola couldn't hide his satisfaction with the player's performance as Manchester City triumphed over Red Star Belgrade at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking after the Champions League match, Guardiola was asked about the World Cup winner's display, to which he replied, via Manchester City News.
“He is so young. What a signing the club have done. He has everything – fighting and goals, and assists. Incredible, lovely guy. Playing behind Erling, he is an incredible threat. Really pleased for him, he deserves it.”
