Gary Neville has spoken up on Liverpool’s chances for the Premier League title win this season amid Manchester City’s and Arsenal’s form.
Pep Guardiola’s side beat Manchester United with a score of 6 - 3 on Sunday due to the hat-tricks of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden. Mikel Arteta’s team, meanwhile, celebrated a 3 - 1 win over Tottenham.
As a result, the Gunners are leading the league table, while the Citizens are in second place. On the contrary, Liverpool are not doing quite well as they are in 9th place in the run following their 3 - 3 draw with Brighton.
Despite the latest form, Neville still believes Jurgen Klopp’s team will manage to compete for lifting the Premier League title this campaign.
“You think to yourself, ‘Are they going to compete this year for the title?’ Probably not, but you never know,” the pundit said on his podcast.
“Because, to be fair, Jurgen Klopp can do the exceptional, and he has, to be fair, over the past few years surprised us incredibly.”
