Frank Lampard reveals TEXT messages from Jose Mourinho after Manchester United LOSS

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard has revealed he got text message from Jose Mourinho after the Premier League starting game against Manchester United. It was the worst possible start for Chelsea, as Blues lost 4-0 to Ole-Gunnar Solskajer's side, despite playing good for 60 minutes of the game. Mourinho, who managed Chelsea from 2004-2007 and 2013-15, in his role as a pundit, claimed Lampard could have picked a more experienced side for his first competitive game in charge. He told Sky Sports back then: “If Kante can play 30-35 minutes, he can start the game. If he lasts only one hour, then he lasts one hour. My feeling is that today they had a possibility to play with more know-how. Marcos Alonso was on the bench, Kante was on the bench, Giroud was on the bench. You look to the performance of Mason Mount, the performance of Tammy Abraham, you look to the performance even of Andreas Christensen and for matches of this dimension you need a little bit more. To come to Old Trafford, even if this is not the huge Manchester United that used to scare people, it’s Manchester United.” Lampard had answered to his former coach's criticism: “I can’t drag people out of the medical room, whether they’re experienced or not. The players we played today, and on the bench, are the players we have. We were missing internationals and big players, but I don’t want that to be an excuse. We were competing for long periods. We made four mistakes and they put them away. It is a reality check for us all. It wasn’t a 4-0 game for long periods, but we need to accept it.” And so far Lampard has proven he can play and give positive results with his young players. Chelsea academy products are scoring and assisting both in Premier League and Champions League. Tammy Abraham, moreover, is among the Premier League top scorers. “With Jose we would have texts from time to time,” Lampard said during an exclusive interview with talkSPORT. “We had some at the start of the season around the Manchester United game where he had a little go! “It’s all good. I’ve sat in the punditry chair for a year so I understand the need to say things so I’m certainly not going to bang on too much. In terms of him, yeah we have a relationship.” he added.
