Manchester United are yet to determine wether Raphael Varane is added to the club's injury list after he was subbed off against Nottingham Forest on August 26.
The France international was substituted at halftime of the 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest. When addressing Varane's fitness in the aftermath of the match, Ten Hag shared insights during the post-game press conference.
With an impending match against title contenders Arsenal, the Dutch manager noted, "He had some concerns. Consequently, we decided not to take any chances with him. Given the quality of replacements like Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof, we opted for caution."
Ten Hag continued, "We are uncertain about the nature and severity of the concern. Our course of action will hinge on further information as we wait."
After conceding two goals five minutes into the game, Manchester United were back on their feet after a cool shower, as Christian Eriksen scored a stunning goal in the 17th minute. The Denmark international was joined by Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes, who scored in the 52nd and 76th minutes respectively.
