Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Charlie Patino's future at Arsenal in his latest column on Caught Offside.
According to the sports journalist, the Gunners' youngster is eager to leave the club during the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old has found his playing time limited at the Emirates Stadium and will be looking for a new challenge in his career in hopes to play regular football.
“There was the recent revelation that he wanted to leave, and although it’s gone quiet, my understanding is that the situation remains the same: he wants a new challenge and a permanent exit," Romano wrote.
The transfer expert claims the ideal scenario for Mikel Arteta's side will be a but-back clause included in Patino's potential transfer deal.
