Robert Lewandowski wants clarity from Bayern Munich over his contract situation,
according to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Poland international's current deal at the German side expires in 2023, while he doesn't want to leave the club as a free agent.
Romano claims that Lewandowski wants to decide on his future in the near future, which means either a contract extension or a possible exit.
Earlier this week Bayern director Hasan Salihamidzic told the media:
“We’re determined to keep Robert.”
However, Lewandowski reacted to the comments by saying:
“I'm hearing that for the first time…”
Romano has added that the German giants have not opened the talks with their main attacker yet.
Lewandowski has previously been linked with the move to a number of European clubs, with Manchester City and Liverpool being among them.
