Manchester United's boss Erik ten Hag has highlighted his mission to instill strict discipline and transform the club's culture, without directly mentioning Jadon Sancho, who has been excluded from first-team training.
Sancho, who claimed Ten Hag lied about his absence at Arsenal and felt scapegoated, is now training alone at Carrington's academy facilities. Ten Hag emphasized that his role is to uphold high standards of discipline and cited the need to improve the club's culture, suggesting there was a lack of discipline before his arrival. He mentioned that enforcing strict lines is essential to maintain these standards.
Regarding Sancho's exclusion, the Dutch manager Hag to his performance in training as the reason for not selecting him for a previous match, stating, "Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him."
The England international then responded on social media, asserting that he has conducted himself well in training, hinting at undisclosed reasons behind the situation and expressing his desire to contribute positively to the team. However, he refused to apologize for the public dispute with Ten Hag, which has escalated in recent days.
